ROB - SCOTT STURGESS
Rob is the leader of the team, not by choice however. Following the death of Chris, he is chosen to step up and take charge. He tries his best to keep the group calm and focused, but like Steve, he too realises that it may be too late for any of them to find that perfect safe location. He's happy to go along with Steve's filming of the group, even to the point of recording some private moments of his own. As the leader, most of the group agree to his decisions, but it's clear they doubt his leadership skills. Since the death of Chris, Nick has started to distance himself from the group, preferring to take matters into his own hands and thinking he knows best. Rob tries to keep him in line, but it's proving more difficult. As the group continue searching for that one location that will provide them everything they need, Rob feels the group may become divided so tries to maintain order.
Scott Sturgess was brought in to play the chosen leader of the group, yet also be able to show a side that feels frustrated and unsure of his role. Having worked previously in short films, Scott quickly fitted in with the process and was able to deliver a perfect take on the character of Rob. His scenes with Lee Jerrum played off extremely well as two people at odds with each other.
