PETE - MARK ASHWELL

 

Pete, along with his daughter Mia, meet up with the group later on.  When the outbreak began, Pete, his wife and their 12 year old daughter all headed out, avoiding both the military and the infected.  Eventually they found a location with one special ingredient.  However, events lead to his wife getting infected and unable to do the right thing, she infected Mia.  He has found a way to keep her alive however, but even this is limited.  His sole purpose in life now is keeping Mia alive, and he will do whatever it takes to accomplish this task.

 

Mark Ashwell filled the role of Pete when casting was proving very difficult.  Normally found behind the camera, Mark brought the perfect feeling to Pete.  Being a father himself, he was able to relate to this mans struggle to do whatever it takes to save his daughter.  Coming in last of all to the cast and playing such an important character to the story, Mark delivered in every way and it shows in the final film.
